RACING AT AMPTON GOES AHEAD. The course has passed an inspection this morning. The going is SOFT / GOOD TO SOFT IN PLACES. Remedial work has been successful and racing goes ahead with no further inspections planned. (Saturday 2nd March – 12pm.)

After a very successful meeting held here, in January, we are now looking forward to the racing action returning to AMPTON racecourse near Bury St. Edmunds, on SUNDAY 3RD MARCH. Lots of trade stands booked and the return of the ever-popular Skinners-sponsored dog show, alongside pony and point to point racing.

The Suffolk Hunt will host their friendly and popular, annual fixture with a seven–race card commencing at 1pm and is preceded by two pony races, run over a flat course, starting from midday. There is also the extremely fun dog show where you can enter your canine family member, for various classes, on the day.

Always a great country show feel to this meeting with good viewing for the racing and a range of trade stands including catering outlets and a public bar ( cash only)

Admission: Adults £15 with children under 16 Free. Dogs on short leads , please.
